So my secret
to getting the perfectly blocked letters-
a vintage set of typeface stamps.
These gems were found in an antique mall on the way to North Carolina for my little brother's college graduation. Ever since a letterpress class i took in college i have been in love with typeface and fonts.
I have used these stamps for gift tags, business cards, and most recently i pressed them into clay. Now that these mini clay slabs have been glazed and fired, i'm planning on turning them into magnets for the fridge.

Love it! I've always been intrigued by the various forms of printing and those stamps are a real score! Lice the tiles you created! Thanks so much for linking up at I Gotta Create! <3 Christina
ReplyDeleteVery clever to make magnets out of the stamps, I would have bought that set in a heartbeat. The table came out great.
ReplyDeleteI have the same print block set and have been looking for ideas to use them. Thanks for posting up.
