So yesterday i showed the coffee table reveal, and on it i had stamped a quote.  Well i wish that i could say that i have perfect handwriting and was able to free hand it... but let's be real- my hands are already shaky regardless of caffeine withdrawals.

So my secret to getting the perfectly blocked letters-
a vintage set of typeface stamps.

These gems were found in an antique mall on the way to North Carolina for my little brother's college graduation. Ever since a letterpress class i took in college i have been in love with typeface and fonts.

I have used these stamps for gift tags, business cards, and most recently i pressed them into clay. Now that these mini clay slabs have been glazed and fired, i'm planning on turning them into magnets for the fridge.

Farwell to April!  Hello May!

  1. Love it! I've always been intrigued by the various forms of printing and those stamps are a real score! Lice the tiles you created! Thanks so much for linking up at I Gotta Create! <3 Christina

  2. Very clever to make magnets out of the stamps, I would have bought that set in a heartbeat. The table came out great.

  3. I have the same print block set and have been looking for ideas to use them. Thanks for posting up.
