Inspiration: Thanks to Jen over at The House of Wood
I was so carried away that I almost forgot to take a
‘before’ picture. So here is the lamp
with just a little green paint on it…
And here it is now!
After brushing on two full coats of Organic Garden and letting
it dry, I sanded off the edges to give it some dimension and texture. Now all I need is a lamp shade to finish it
off!
It really transformed it! Now I can't wait to see what you do for the shade. (love the name of the paint, by the way :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up at I Gotta Create! <3 Christina
That turned out wonderful! It's amazing what a little paint can do! I hope you'll stop by sometime- I host a linky every Monday if you ever want to join in. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Cassie! The green is actually left over from when I painted my living room- It's a very happy living room! :)
DeleteI have seen about 4 of these lamps at garage sales so far this summer! I always pass them up because they are just not cute. Yours looks fantastic though..and if I needed another lamp....I would so try my hand at transforming one like this! (I have a slight lamp addiction...hehe)
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie! I was shocked at how great it turned out! I probably would have passed up on it too if it wasn't given to me.. but now i'm in love! Happy hunting and thanks for stopping by! :)
DeleteI actually like the lamp. I can see it with an anthropologie style floral shade, with funky colors...great job!
ReplyDeleteOoooo! I didn't think about getting a shade from Anthro.. but that would look cute! Thanks for the suggestion Beth, and thanks for checking me out! :)
